Risk, dares and online challenges PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the concept of risk and risk-taking. We will look at how a small element of risk applies to most everyday activities. We will discuss the steps that people commonly take to lower these everyday risks such as wearing a helmet when cycling, or carefully reading the instructions when taking prescribed medicines. We will then take a closer look at dares and online challenges. We will discuss the risks and dangers involved in a series of examples, and discuss strategies for resisting peer pressure. TWO HOURS - Stalking, harassment and the law PSHE lesson. A new 2024 lesson focusing on what stalking and harassment are, how they are legally defined, how we know if we are being stalked or harassed and what can legally be done about it. Students will investigate real life cases of stalking that have ended up with the perpetrators serving custodial sentences. They will analyse whether UK law is tough enough in these cases, or whether it needs re-evaluating.
