2 HOUR lesson all about knife crime, who is particularly vulnerable to become involved and why and the measures the UK is taking to keep young people safe. Students will investigate the link with wider gang violence and influence, and the pressure put on gang members to commit illegal activities. They will also examine the consequences of such illega, on victims and perpetrators as well as the lasting effect on families and communities. They will explore personal stories from those who turned their lives around, but still live with many regrets of ever getting involved in the first place. Risk, dares and online challenges PSHE Lesson. A one hour-long, very detailed, fully resourced PSHE lesson suitable for KS2. In this lesson, the students will discuss the concept of risk and risk-taking. We will look at how a small element of risk applies to most everyday activities. We will discuss the steps that people commonly take to lower these everyday risks such as wearing a helmet when cycling, or carefully reading the instructions when taking prescribed medicines. We will then take a closer look at dares and online challenges. We will discuss the risks and dangers involved in a series of examples, and discuss strategies for resisting peer pressure. The lesson includes a set of discussion cards, an information sheet, a video clip activity, and clear, measurable learning outcomes. Who are EC Resources?
